In my appearances at Sunday’s conference on “The Collapse of Europe,” I cited a number of articles and books, including:

TimeOutLondon’s latest issue: “Is London’s Future Islamic?”

I also cited an article and two speeches on the future of Europe by Pope Benedict XVI:

A January 2006 article in First Things, “Europe and Its Discontents”

the speech at Regenburg, and

a speech to bishops on the eve of the 50^th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.

I also recommended “American Exceptionalism” by James Q Wilson in the October 2, 2006 issue of The American Spectator, “Soft Europe,” by Leon de Winter from the March 7, 2006 OpinionJournal, and the websites of Daniel Pipes and Claire Berlinski.

I recommended two books, The Looming Tower and America Alone, as well as articles like Lawrence Wright’s “The Master Plan,”.

The 1990 United States Supreme Court decision I cited is Employment Division v. Smith.

Finally, the site on Islam v. Islamists, the film being censored by PBS, is FreeTheFilm.com.

The organizations I recommended funding are The Alliance Defense Fund, The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, and the Center for Security Policy.

Here’s the close of the dissent in today’s Fourth Circuit opinion:

Furthermore, setting aside the amorphous distinction between an “enemy combatant” and an “enemy belligerent,” there is little doubt from the evidence that al-Marri was present in the United States to aidand further the hostile and subversive activities of the organization responsible for the terrorist attacks that occurred onSeptember 11, 2001.

I therefore vote to affirm the district court. (Emphasis added.)

The majority opinion –it is along one– is a gift card to al Qaeda operatives in the United States, guaranteeing them trial or release like any other criminal. Expect en banc and SCOTUS review.

Administration “More Determined Than Ever” To Pass Amnesty

Bush: “See You At The Bill Signing” 

Bush and the Amnesty Senators are now preparing to bring the Bush-Kennedy Amnesty bill back for a vote immediately.

Yesterday, Commerce Secretary Gutierrez said the administration is “more determined than ever” to pass amnesty and Tony Snow added that the Senate “could wrap this up in two days.” Now, Bush has scheduled a meeting with Senate Republicans on Tuesday to plan strategy and Majority Leader Reid is saying he is ready to move the bill to a vote.

To add insult to injury, Bush then said of the bill: “I believe we can get it done,” Bush said of the immigration bill that has run into deep trouble on Capitol Hill. “I’ll see you at the bill signing.”

This is outrageous. Just last week, the American people soundly rejected Bush-Kennedy Amnesty. The New York Times even featured Grassfire.org and three of our team members in a Page One lead story yesterday entitled “Grass Roots Roared”. Now, they are bringing amnesty back!

Two crucial action items:

Action Item #1– Call Your Senators and the White House
and tell them to “Back Off”!

1. I am outraged that the President and the Senate are again planning on pushing this amnesty bill.

When the Mexican finishes his beer, he throws his glass in the air, pulls out his pistol, and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, “In Mexico our glasses are so cheap we don’t need to drink with the same one twice.”

The Iraqi, obviously impressed by this, drinks his beer, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his AK-47, and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, “In Iraq we have so much sand to make glasses that we don’t need to drink with the same one twice either.”

The redneck girl, cool as a cucumber, picks up her beer, downs it in one draft, throws the glass into the air, whips out her .45, and shoots the Mexican and the Iraqi. On June 12, 1987, President Ronald Reagan declared, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” It was our generation’s equivalent to “Remember the Alamo!” This month we celebrate the 20th anniversary of this wonderful declaration for the cause of freedom on behalf of repressed people in Central and Eastern Europe. We should renew our shared commitment with our allies in Europe because it is the transatlantic relationship that is America’s anchor for global engagement.

Although Ronald Reagan’s words must have seemed like only a dream, they resonated in the hearts of East Berliners who led restricted, hopeless lives. The dream of freedom did come true because of the steadfast, essential political and logistical support of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Chancellor Helmut Kohl. The moral compass was provided by the respected Pope John Paul II. And Lech Walesa, behind the Iron Curtain in Poland, had freedom lovers all over the world in solidarity with their cause.

Rip Van Winkle has nothing on Jan Grzebski, a Polish railway worker who just emerged from a coma that began 19 years ago–just prior to the collapse of communism in his country. His take on how the world around him has changed beyond recognition comes at an appropriate time. It was 20 years ago tomorrow that Ronald Reagan electrified millions behind the Iron Curtain by standing in front of the Berlin Wall demanding: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

Mr. Grzebski is, of course, thrilled to see the wife who cared for him and the 11 grandchildren he didn’t even know he had. But he is also shocked at how his homeland has changed. “When I went into a coma, there was only tea and vinegar in the shops, meat was rationed, and huge gas lines were everywhere,” he told Polish TV. “Now I see people on the streets with cell phones and there are so many goods in the shops it makes my head spin. What amazes me is all these people who walk around with their mobile phones and never stop moaning. I’ve got nothing to complain about.”

Jihadists are posing as “disgruntled Americans” and making lame and unsubstantiated claims. Most can be identified by their extreme BDS and Hate America rhetoric. Islamic terrorists are engaged in a “media jihad” in which they encourage jihadists to pose online as Americans to foster anti-war sentiment in the U.S.According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, a posting on the Al-Mohajroon Islamist website with the username Al-Wathig Billah provides instructions on how to infiltrate popular American Internet forums and use them to distribute jihad films and spread anti-war sentiments.

UPDATE: Additional data may be found here; some of the data is a repeat of previously supplied data from MANY sites other than mine and Spree’s.  The emphasis here is the Jihadis are VERY active in our blogs and forums.  I participate at Jihad Chat and the Jihadis are there as well.  A Spree states so very well;

It is not a game, and by responding firmly to the stupidity in the comment sections of your blogs, (trolls if you will) you are assuring that some new reader that doesn’t know of the terrorists tactics are not sucked into their lies.

We do have a role in this war and while our soldiers are fighting abroad for us, we must do what we can, however limited our power is, and we must fight the media war here at home.

The EnviroServatives are all in a tizzy now. A new frog is found, Its purple and it is really pretty. ut the real find in the Reuters Story (in my opinion) are the four new species of Dung Beetle. My thought is that we need more of them in Washington.

The job of a Dung Beetle being to bury …. well .. dung. They should prove very useful in that area of the Country. IT sems to have a high incidence of the piling up of the Home of Choice for the Dung Beetle.

There is a likely problem which might be encountered though. The four new Dung Beetles would probably try to mate with some of the local species of Dung Beetles, like the Nervosa Nancius Pelosia Stringbeanus or the Hairy Warted DoubleSpeakus Riedosian FlyWeight.

The worst possible combination though, might be if the new Beetles tried to ‘join’ with the Rino Beaked SlapHappus Bushista Turncoatus. A truly virulent form of Dung Beetle known to inhabit the area and often seen trying desperately to create havoc among the population while trying to live symbioticly with the Kennedosis Alchoholis in it’s attempts to transfer a legal status on every known form of criminal habitating in the country.

On second thought perhaps just a really large can of Raid is what we need.
