  1. This we shall not see in the theoretical “in-touch”…right…main stream press…I am watchung the news report on Fox News Channel as I post this message!!!

“A thank you from the Mayor of Tal Afar, Iraq to the Men and Women of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment”

“In the Name of God the Compassionate and Merciful
To the Courageous Men and Women of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment, who have changed the city of Tall’ Afar from a ghost town, in which terrorists spread death and destruction, to a secure city flourishing with life.
To the lion-hearts who liberated our city from the grasp of terrorists who were beheading men, women and children in the streets for many months.
To those who spread smiles on the faces of our children, and gave us restored hope, through their personal sacrifice and brave fighting, and gave new life to the city after hopelessness darkened our days, and stole our confidence in our ability to reestablish our city.
Our city was the main base of operations for Abu Mousab Al Zarqawi. The city was completely held hostage in the hands of his henchmen. Our schools, governmental services, businesses and offices were closed. Our streets were silent, and no one dared to walk them. Our people were barricaded in their homes out of fear; death awaited them around every corner. Terrorists occupied and controlled the only hospital in the city. Their savagery reached such a level that they stuffed the corpses of children with explosives and tossed them into the streets in order to kill grieving parents attempting to retrieve the bodies of their young. This was the situation of our city until God prepared and delivered unto them the courageous soldiers of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment, who liberated this city, ridding it of Zarqawi’s followers after harsh fighting, killing many terrorists, and forcing the remaining butchers to flee the city like rats to the surrounding areas, where the bravery of other 3d ACR soldiers in Sinjar, Rabiah, Zumar and Avgani finally destroyed them.
I have met many soldiers of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment; they are not only courageous men and women, but avenging angels sent by The God Himself to fight the evil of terrorism.
The leaders of this Regiment; COL McMaster, COL Armstrong, LTC Hickey, LTC Gibson, and LTC Reilly embody courage, strength, vision and wisdom. Officers and soldiers alike bristle with the confidence and character of knights in a bygone era. The mission they have accomplished, by means of a unique military operation, stands among the finest military feats to date in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and truly deserves to be studied in military science. This military operation was clean, with little collateral damage, despite the ferocity of the enemy. With the skill and precision of surgeons they dealt with the terrorist cancers in the city without causing unnecessary damage.
God bless this brave Regiment; God bless the families who dedicated these brave men and women. From the bottom of our hearts we thank the families. They have given us something we will never forget. To the families of those who have given their holy blood for our land, we all bow to you in reverence and to the souls of your loved ones. Their sacrifice was not in vain. They are not dead, but alive, and their souls hovering around us every second of every minute. They will never be forgotten for giving their precious lives. They have sacrificed that which is most valuable. We see them in the smile of every child, and in every flower growing in this land. Let America, their families, and the world be proud of their sacrifice for humanity and life.
Finally, no matter how much I write or speak about this brave Regiment, I haven’t the words to describe the courage of its officers and soldiers. I pray to God to grant happiness and health to these legendary heroes and their brave families.”

  2. Here we go again. Iran has said that the US with “suffer” pain if they are not allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. The world CANNOT afford Iran to have nukes. The USA is the only nation that has used nukes and we hope to never have to do so again…this could very well change if Iran is allowed to have nukes.

  3. Iran just said…AGAIN…that if America does not withdraw the complaints to the UN Security Council, America will suffer from pain and harm, theoretically by shutting off their oil. Just one for valid reason to TAP OUR OWN OIL RESERVES WITHIN OUR OWN BORDERS!!!!!!

  4. That idiot Murtha says that the only ones that want us in Iraq is Iran, Al Quaida and the USA. I guess he hasn’t read the letters of appreciation from the Iraqi people. Where do these folks come from?

I imagine that he also thinks that we are making everything up when it comes to the threats from Iran.

    What a jerk.

  5. Just some random items to solidify the importance to return to our roots…mlh

“It is easier to find moderate Muslims who are willing to speak out than to find journalists who will pay much attention to what they have to say. Afghans, Iraqis and Lebanese struggling for liberty and democracy are given short shrift because to give them proper credit would be to give indirect credit to George W. Bush.” —Jack Kelly

AGAIN…from the mouth of a moron

From the Village Glitterati: “[W]e are a little bit out of touch in Hollywood every once in a while, I think. It’s probably a good thing. We’re the ones who talk about AIDS when it was just being whispered and we talked about civil rights when it wasn’t really popular, and we—you know, we bring up subjects. We’re the ones—this academy, this group of people who gave Hattie McDaniel an Oscar in 1939 when blacks were still sitting in the backs of theaters. I’m proud to be a part of this academy, proud to be part of this community, and proud to be out of touch.” —George Clooney **Obviously, Hollywood can solve all the world’s ills.

Another “Hollyweird” jerk…you know, like wow, and like…surf’s out ya moron!!

“Democrats not only can’t get their act together, they can’t decide on who should write the sketch; what it should be about; who should play which parts; nor where, when, or how the act should be staged… When the question of themes leading up to the election were being discussed: ‘Reid said they had narrowed the list to six, and proceeded to talk about them. Then Pelosi offered her six—not all the same as Reid’s.’ Oh, yeah. Twelve themes will work. Along with 24 strategies, 237 tactics and 1,567 projects. Have at it.” —Rich Galen

  7. POLITICS: Treatment of Lieberman shows Democrats’ direction by HUGH HEWITT

Sen. Joe Lieberman is planning an Independent run for the Senate if the former vice presidential candidate is defeated by anti-war activist Ned Lamont in the Connecticut Democratic primary next month–and Hillary Clinton’s announcement that she will not support an independent Lieberman candidacy tells us many things.

It tells us that Clinton is fundamentally unserious about the war. Lamont is running on a policy of retreat; Lieberman is a committed proponent of victory. To abandon Lieberman is to put politics ahead of victory.

It also tells us that Clinton is very afraid of her party’s new “netroots,” the hard left activists gathered around blogs such as The Daily Kos, which launched and power Lamont’s anti-war candidacy. These folks at the fringe of the Democratic Party are pushing the purge of Lieberman. The refusal of people like Clinton to stand against them signals that the party of FDR, Truman, and JFK is passing away.

Joe Lieberman is an honerable man, one of the most far-seeing of the Democrats. He was enormously popular as part of the Gore ticket in 2000. That he could not attract much support in his presidential compaign in 2004 showed us the leftward drift of his party.

That he drew an anti-war opponent in his primary showed us that the radical wing of his party is not content to take on Republicans, but wants ideological purity as well. And that he is not receiving unconditional support from his colleagues–led by Clinton–signals that the party’s headlong march hard left is accelerating.

  8. Borrowed from another blogger…

“That whole region is a festering powder keg converging on a huge explosion. As long as the terror groups remain in control of puppet governments there will never be peace. Israel will have to fi-g-ht this never ending ba-tt-le until these factions renounce the call for total Israeli des-tru-ction and begin using diplomacy. Trying to have diplomatic relations with alley th-ugs with limited thinking capacity shall have little value in the peace process. My gut says Israel needs to fight this one out showing no mercy! Israel needs to fight this one a thousand years in the past, leave nothing behind to even hint of a tribe. Extending olive branches and getting ones hand severed will never result in peace.”

  9. “I am an American
I owe you no apologies nor will I accept those apologies made for me by others.
If you dislike me—you dislike me not for What I am but for what you are not. By my own sweat, I have created a lifestyle which I desire for all men.
To the world I have shared my wealth and given my blood, not because of obligation—but by my free will. I have fed the hungry of the world. Many bit my hand; I used the other hand.
I defeated my enemies in battle, then pulled them up from the ashes of defeat. Once strong, they again attacked; I turned the other cheek. Though I am strong, I have never used my strength to rule others. But do not misjudge me, I will not allow the fear of my own strength to become my weakness.
If you wish to rise, I will give you a helping hand. But by the grace of God, and I’ll first be damned, if I’ll let you drag me down so that we may be equal.”

  10. From a soldier in Iraq…

“…No one seems to realize what is at stake right now. This war is about far more than the present. If we quit this war, our children will see the collapse of the United States as we know it. If we continue to feed and house and medicate the lazy and worthless that suck the life out of the bottom of our nation, our children will see the collapse of the United States as we know it. If we continue to allow illegal immigrants to enter our country and send roughly $20 billion from our economy and put it into Mexico’s, our children will see the collapse of the United States as we know it. If my generation continues to be completely ignorant, apathetic, selfish and self centered… we will earn the credit for destroying America…”

  11. I find it interesting, for lack of a better term, that whenever terrorists are given some sort of sympathy, it is considered to be OK and when terrorists are condemned, it is considered to be wrong.

Why are there folks that sympathize with terrorists? Is it OK to walk into a pizza parlor and self-detonate and destroy innocent lives? Is it OK to self-detonate on a crowded bus bringing folks back and forth to work and other places? Is it true that the Islamic Fascists want peace and if so, what is required to bring about this “peace”?

    Curious, is it not?

  12. The Nation of Israel has every right to protect itself…PERIOD, just like any other Nation has a right to protect itself. As natural and simple as it can be, at times, a Nation protecting itself will find that it is a requirement to invade and/or conquer that Nation which is attacking and has started the hostilities. This is called war.

War is ugly…been there and done that. War and wars will always be…PERIOD.

In the case of the United States and Israel, the collective “we”, have been victims of terrorist attacks for years. In Israel, terrorist attacks can be an every day event. There are groups of people advocating the total destruction of Israel. This would be as gross anti-semitic act wouldn’t it? If anyone agrees with the groups which seek to destroy Israel, are they not also anti-semitic? Just curious.

1948. Israel as a Nation is established. Shortly thereafter, Israel was attacked and Israel won that “conflict”. Early 1970s. 6-Day War. Israel won that one. 1980s, 1990s and recent times. Israel won those as well. Don’t the terrorists and Terrorist Regimes see the pattern? Israel wins. Leave them alone.

    The UN…oh brother…S/PRST/2004/37
S/PV.5059…and other “resolutions” which have been EQUALLY as useless, statedd that if Israel pulled OUT of Lebanon and the Golan Heights and Gaza, the UN would ensure that the terrorist groups would be disarmed and disbanded. Evidently, AGAIN, the UN, AGAIN, has FAILED in their adherence to “resolutions” on their part. Pathetic.

So, what is Israel to do? Move? Load up on some ships AGAIN, and roam about on the open seas, AGAIN? Hello?

How many of Israeli citizens slaughtered at the hands of terrorist acts is the “magic number” whereas Israel can begin to protect itself? 3? 3 million? ALL?

The events recently, is Israel fed up and Israel sending a message to the world. Enough is way passed enough. Yes, they have the right to do what they feel is required to rid themselves of constant terrorist attacks.

Knock, knock. Hello? Syria? Your next.

ISRAEL 101: A SURVIVAL KIT FOR DUMMIES
    THE VOICE OF REALITY
“In every generation, there are always a few who understand.
Always understand… even if you remain among the few.” Rabbi Meir Kahane

“The land of Israel belongs to God, and He has decided to give it to the Jewish nation,
in accordance with the covenant sealed on Mount Sinai, a covenant that no other nation
was willing to undertake. After a long exile, we’ve returned home. We bear no malice toward anyone
and seek no harm to anyone. But we will not surrender any portion of our land to foreign powers,
and if foreigners rise up against us to destroy us, we will fight against them and,
with God’s help, we will destroy them.” Martin Wasserman

  15. From the GOP blog…the DNC dunces have no answers so I will post this here in the hopes that someone has a logical explanation…

    http://www.gop.com/Blog/BlogPost.aspx?BlogPostID=2198#115804

Checking in from the Border…this will more than likely be my only post until LATE tonight.

I have reviewed the posts from the rezident DNC repeaters of DNC shrillness. Amazing. Their total inability to see sarcasm for what it is…lures. Like insects to the bug zappers they are. So easy to confuse and draw in. Amazing and quite laughable.

The United Nations. A useless organization racked with corruption and inanities. Powerless. Liars. Unable to enforce their own Resolutions. What good is a Resolution if at the end of the day, it goes nowhere and has no teeth?

Yet, the DNC seems to think that the UN is good for the world, further enabling their blind stupidity.

At least for this Conservative, harvelini, I will mention certain Resolutions not as an end of end alls but to show the uselessness of the UN.

UN Resolutions 1559, 5059 and a host of others in regards to Israel and terrorists sworn to the utter destruction of Israel, have proven to be INEFFECTIVE and have been brought forth for the benefit of the Blind Sheep of the DNC, posting their total and complete ignorance here on a GOP site.

The UN had “promised” to disarm the terrorists constantly attacking Israel if Israel would give up territories. Has this been accomplished? No, it has not. Why? Because the UN is USELESS and evidently has a separate agenda.

Israel has given up territories in the name of Peace and has gotten no peace…just more attacks and the attacks are getting more and more sophisticated. How is this happening? Is the UN asleep? Does the UN care? Who is arming the theoretically disarmed terrorists and what is the UN doing about it? The answers are indeed self-evident.

The United Nations…BAH! Useless. Ineffective. A failure time and time again. When has the UN EVER been successful? Does anyone know? Their test case was Korea in the 1950s and failed there as well…some test. They were to keep China OUT of that war and failed.

Let the lame DNC bloggers rot in their own swill and stupidity and blind ignorance. It becomes them to remain where they are.
