Big Lie: “UN drops call to outlaw ‘defamation of religions’

There is a sucker born every minute, because if we did not suck, we would not survive. Unfortunately, there is a surplus of adult bottom feeders who will cheerfully take and run with any bait.  A Google search for UN + “Defamation of Religions” turned up several news articles in addition to those in yesterday’s alert.

Only two out of twelve articles reflect objective factual reality, the rest swallow the bait.  That is not a good sign.  Lets sneak around the gate of the defamation meme and examine the core issue. Words have meanings, but Muslims assign their own meanings to common words. We must not assume that those words mean what they say when spoken by Muslims.

The opening of the 15th session of the Human Rights Council was marked by an address from Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the OIC.

The new session of the Council is also coincides with  with regrettable events that are
deliberately meant to defame religions as well incite hatred, xenophobia, discrimination and
violence against religions, in particular Islam. The increasing incidents of violence and
discrimination on the basis of religion must not be ignored. We hope that this and other
related  issues remain an important priority in the work of the Council.

The most recent and unfortunate in the series of such events was the announcement
pertaining to Bum a Koran Day. It was highly provocative towards the religious sentiments
of Muslims everywhere in the world and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
On August 24,2010 I issued a cautionary statement on the plan to burn the Holy Qur’an and
urged the American people as a whole as well as the world community to reject the call of the
Gainesville Church pastor[….]

In this regard all xenophobic campaigns of fear mongering and discriminatory
measures – both in policy and practice – which restrict, prohibit or discriminate against of any
religion such as ban on the constriction of minarets, organization of events that incite hatred
like Burn a Koran Day, and other discriminatory measures must be strongly condemned by
the international community. A recurrence of such events substantiate OIC’s call for a
normative approach to deal with this menace that continues to pose a clear ‘and present danger
to peace, security ‘and stability in the regional as well as the global context. Such acts fuel
discrimination, extremism and mis-perception leading to polarization and fragmentation with
dangerous unintendecl ancl unforeseen consequences.[…]

[…]such events which endanger peaceful coexistence
between nations and create an environment conducive to violence

The first three sentences quoted above are loaded with meaning which must be dissected and examined.

regrettable events

In this case, one event: International Burn The Qur’an Day, which was scheduled for 09/11/10 to commemorate  the accursed abomination by highlighting the Qur’an verses which inspired it.  The event was called off under intense government pressure.

deliberately meant to

How does anyone know the intention of the event unless it is clearly stated? The stated purpose of the event was to foster awareness of Islamic doctrines and their real world consequences. But Ihsanoglu assigns other intentions which he projects onto the event from afar.

defame religions

Defamation is false and malicious.  What is false about connecting the dots; Allah’s sanctification of terror, his casting terror resulting in death, captivity & dispossession, Moe’s bragging about terror making him victorious and the abominable act motivated by Allah’s imperative, threat and promise?

incite

Pastor Jones was not inciting anyone to do anything more than incinerate the book which inspired the “Magnificent 19”. Nothing was to be said, implied or illustrate to incite anyone to assault Muslims. He issued no war cry or call to arms and implied none.

hatred

It is only natural for a nation under attack and threat of attack to hate its attackers and the damnable doctrines which motivate them and inspire them to attempt genocide & politicide.  No incitement is needed to make intelligent and informed Americans hate Islam.

discrimination

People naturally make choices. If we choose to avoid association with and proximity to persons made inimical to us by their ideology, that is discrimination, but it is not evil.

Hating a man for his skin pigment is evil. Hating a man because he adheres to an ideology which enjoins him to kill or enslave you is not evil, it is common sense.  Warning people about that ideology and its consequences is not inciting hatred.  Hatred is incited by the ideology and the acts it inspires.

violence

When Pastor Jones tried and burned a Qur’an in March of 2011, rioting broke out in Pakistan.  The riots were not incited by anything in Gainesville, they were incited by what was preached in the mosques at Jumah Salat.  The politicians and media dare not make the connection between the riots and the end of Friday afternoon sermons.  Instead, they prefer to blame an unrelated event separated by thousands of miles and several days.

Trying and burning a Qur’an did not start a war; what did?  have you forgotten? When such a threat is issued, why do we lift Satan’s tail and pucker up?

Defamation, while prominently cited, is not the issue. Examine this transcript of remarks by Pakistan’s Ambassador at the 16th session of the HRC.

Pakistan (on behalf of
the OIC)
Mr. Zamir Akram
03/24/11

Thank you Mr. President. On behalf of the OIC countries, I have the
honor to introduce the draft resolution entitled “combating
intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatization of and
discrimination, incitement to violence and violence against persons
based on religion or belief contained in document L.38.

Mr. President: this resolution addresses a number of
issues over which the OIC has been expressing concern over the years.
having said  that, I wish to state categorically that this
resolution does not replace earlier resolutions on combating
defamation.  which were adopted by the Human Rights Council  and
remain valid.  This resolution L.38  is an attempt on the
part of the oic to build consensus on an issue of vital importance
not only to Muslims but to people of all religions  and beliefs by
identifying  ways and means to deal with the growing problems of
religious incitement and discrimination and incitement to hatred and violence based on
religion or belief.

At the heart of this resolution are a series of practical steps
which need to be taken by states in order to address
this problem. This resolution addresses the core issues in a manner
that is acceptable to all including in  a legal sense, thus
seeking to bring all stake holders on board.  The OIC has gone
the extra mile to maintain a spirit of constructive engagement with all
partners during this process of consultation.

Our primary objective is to ensure that this text,
which will hopefully be adopted by consensus, will bind us all to the
commitments contained therein and oblige us all to ensure compliance
with its decisions.

Mr. President: Muslims around the world continue to be confronted
with ever increasing instances of intolerance, negative stereotyping,
stigmatization, discrimination  and violence on the basis of their religion; Islam.
Objective academic studies reveal that following the end of the cold war, the
pernicious doctrine of a clash of civilizations signaled the start of a narrative that required
the construction of a new enemy  to replace the global threat of
Communism with the so-called menace of Islam.

The reprehensible acts of terrorism on September 11,
2001 provided the trigger to unleash the clash of civilizations to the
forefront of global politics.  In the general Western view, no
distinction was made between a handful of extremists and terrorists  and
the overwhelming majority of peaceful and law abiding Muslims
living around the world. To make matters worse, against the backdrop of
the recent global economic crisis, these fears of Islam and Muslims are
now being manipulated by irresponsible and bigoted Western politicians
to gain political mileage  in their countries, unfortunately, with
remarkable success.

Terms such as Islamofascists have become common.
Even the Qur’an has not been spared;  it has been compared to Hitler’s
Mein Kampf. More recently, it was tried for religious crimes and
burnt.  Minarets at mosques deliberately depicted on posters
as missiles, have been banned. There have even been restrictions on
shops selling halal food, while no such restrictions exist on kosher
food outlets which are similar.

There is also increasing discrimination against Muslims in various
parts of the world.  They are being subjected to racial profiling
which confronts them with intractable problems at every border where
they are checked and re-checked.  Their businesses are repeatedly
scrutinized and their places of worship disallowed or desecrated.
They are made to feel unwelcome in societies where they live as
minorities.

One prominent politician has recently organized
hearings that seek to put on trial the entire Muslim community and are
obviously designed to stoke fears against Muslims in that
country.

Mr. President, the efforts by the oic to defend
our religion, our holy book and our prophet  and our people have
often been misrepresented as being contrary to international human
rights principles and laws, and in particular, rejected as undermining
the freedom of expression or opinion. The reality is different.
It is therefore appropriate in such a position, for us to try and
explain our faith and our principles. I hope, Mr. President, you will
give me a bit of extra time to do so.

Mr.  President: the Qur’an lays great emphasis on the
need for religious tolerance  as well as freedom of thought and
opinion.  In chapter 2, verse 256, the Qur’an states there is no
compulsion in religion.  In chapter 18, verse 29, the Qur’an
maintains that truth is from your Lord, so let him who please believe
and him who please disbelieve.  As regards freedom of
thought and opinion in Islam, the Qur’an states, in chapter 16, in verse 125 invite
all to the way of your creator with wisdom and arguments that are the
best and most gracious.  The Qur’an and the traditions of the holy
prophet also lay emphasis on the treatment of non-Muslims.
According to Prophet Muhammad, (PBUH), he who hurts a non-Muslim
citizen of a Muslim state I am his adversary and I shall be his
adversary on the day of  judgment.

Mr. President: it is also instructive for us to know
that we Muslims are not only bound by temporal laws to respect human
rights but by divine enjunctions contained in the Qur’an.  The
basic human rights as ordained in the Qur’an  include the
rights to life,  individual freedom, justice, equality, privacy, association
and basic necessities of life or minimum standard of living. These
obligations also include respect for women,  equality among human
beings, freedom of expression, protection from arbitrary imprisonment
and the right to oppose tyranny and injustice.  the last sermon of
the prophet (PBUH) is, in itself, a comprehensive charter of human
rights.  Islam has even established a complete code for the right
of combatants in war. Measures for the protection of all combatants as
well as homes and property belonging to them.

Mr. President: I have dwelt at length on these characteristics of Islam
because I want to underscore the common principles that underlie our
faith and the requirements of international law including international
human rights and humanitarian law.  Indeed, given the tremendous
contributions by Islam in various fields of human activity over
the  years, these principles have contributed to the evolution of
the very principles that we are trying to uphold today.

Mr. President, we sincerely believe that that irrespective of our
different cultural backgrounds and traditions, there is a shared
interest for all of us to show respect for each other’s religions and
beliefs  as well as to prevent any advocacy of religious hatred and
intolerance, discrimination and incitement  on the basis of religion or
belief.

The resolution under consideration seeks to achieve
these laudable objectives through a range of actions by states
including administrative steps, measures to criminalize imminent
violence, training and awareness programs, promotion of dialogue and
understanding at all levels.   The resolution also calls for
a global dialogue for the promotion of a culture of tolerance and peace
and in this context it decides to convene a panel discussion in the
Human Rights Council.  We hope that this resolution will be
adopted by consensus.  Before concluding, Mr. President, I would
like to place on record my appreciation for the support and cooperation
of all my colleagues in the oic  and in particular, members of
the core group of ambassadors that we set up to work out this
resolution.  I have truly benefited from the wisdom and advice and
without their support this text would not have been possible.  I
would also like to thank the Secretary General of the oic whose
support and guidance made this resolution possible.  In addition I
would like to express my appreciation — my sincere appreciation to all
our partners in the various groups, especially the ambassadors of the
U.S. and the U.K. on behalf of the European Union for their cooperative
and constructive approach.  Let me also thank the ambassadors from
the African group, grulac and Croatia for their cooperation and
engagement in this effort. I am glad that this oic initiative has
met with broad cross regional support which will send out a strong
message of unity from this council. Finally I would  like to thank
the experts from Pakistan, the U.S., the U.K. and other countries for
their tireless efforts to work out the text of this resolution. I thank
you Mr. president.

Akram’s screed contains numerous lies, which have been dissected in another blog post.

number of issues

To see what Akram was talking about, read the Islamophobia Report for April ’11.  The three principal exemplars are the Motoons, Fitna and the above mentioned Qur’an burning.

Motoons

The ostensible objection to depicting Moe is idolatry. There are two problems with that. First, Moe ain’t supposed to be the deity, Allah is. Second, nobody would possibly make those cartoons an object of idolatry.  The real reason for objecting to their publication is their depicting Moe as a terrorist.

Moe could not have possessed a bomb because he died prior to the invention of gunpowder.  Moe cast terror by a series of barbarian attacks, deliberately building a reputation for barbarian repine, so that he was more feared than Allah.  Moe bragged about being made victorious by awe & terror. What more do you need to know to make a judgment?

Fitna

The 15 minute documentary juxtaposes Qur’an verses and ahadith with the rabid rants of Imams at Jumah Salat and resulting acts of terror and rioting. Fitna does not incite violence, it exposes incitement. Fitna: Supporting Documentation 03/27/08  documents the ayat quoted in the documentary. Though words have meanings, we must be aware of the meanings intended by Muslims.  HRC 16/18 & Draft resolution XVII appear to concentrate on incitement.

Condemns any advocacy of religious hatred that constitutes incitement to
discrimination, hostility or violence, whether it involves the use of print, audiovisual
or electronic media or any other means;
(e) Speaking out against intolerance, including advocacy of religious hatred
that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence;
(0 Adopting measures to criminalize the incitement to imminent violence
based on religion or belief;

incitement

What is it? Am I inciting hatred and violence by exposing the damnable doctrines of Islam which inculcate hatred and incite violence?  There is only one way to know the meaning: we must examine recent exemplary statements. This one, by Secretary Ban Ki-moon is dispositive.

Reuters quotes U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon about Fitna:“There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence,” Ban said in a statement. “The right of free expression is not at stake here.”

According to the Secretary General, Fitna constitutes hate speech & incitement not protected by freedom of expression.  From that statement, it is clear tha the intention of HRC 16/18 and Draft resolution XVII is to criminalize all criticism of Islam.

negative stereotyping

What is the difference between stereotyping and defamation?  Because Moe was a terrorist, who commanded Muslims to emulate himself, and because Allah commanded terrorism, Muslims are commanded to obey Allah and because selectivity is prohibited, all Muslims are potential terrorists.  To the extent that they are believers in Allah, his promise and his threat, they will eventually participate in an attack.  If it were not true, this paragraph would be defamatory. Even though it is true, it is negative and it is stereotyping, condemned by the resolutions.  In any case,

defamation

Islam is terrorism!  Allah sanctified it & engaged in it. Moe bragged about being made victorious by it.  To those bigots who who deny the obvious facts previously documented by reference to the Qur’an & hadth, this is defamatory. Previous resolutions condemned associating Islam with terrorism. These resolutions omit that meme, so, has the UN abandoned the defamation meme?  HELL NO!!!  And I will prove it.  Draft resolution XVII ain’t the only resolution passed by acclamation Dec. 19. I know something you don’t know but are about to find out.

Also emphasizes that no religion should be equated with terrorism, as this
may have adverse consequences on the enjoyment of the right to freedom of religion
or belief of all members of the religious communities concerned;

¶10, on page 3 of Draft resolution XVIII,  emphasizes that Islam must not be equated with terrorism, which it is by the testimony of its own deity & founder previously cited.  Equation with terrorism fits the defamation meme, and it has not been dropped or abandoned by the UN, it lives on in a concurrent resolution. The suckers have swallowed the bait, hook, line and sinker.

¶12(j), on page 4, belies the assertion that freedom of expression is not threatened.

To take all necessary and appropriate action, in conformity with
international standards of human rights, to combat hatred, discrimination,
intolerance and acts of violence, intimidation and coercion motivated by intolerance
based on religion or belief, as well as incitement to hostility and violence, with
particular regard to members of religious minorities in all parts of the world;

For the Morons among my readers, “all necessary and appropriate action” means legislation to combat “incitement to hostility and violence”, which means: Fitna, the Motoons and this blog post.

No doubt the Moronic chorus will begin chanting: “that ain’t in the resolution under discussion”. To which I gleefully reply:  Ye Suckers!!! Assumptions make asses of you!

Adopting measures to criminalize the incitement to imminent violence
based on religion or belief;

¶5(f) on page 5 of Draft resolution XVII, proves you wrong. “Adopting measures to criminalize” is a code phrase for legislation. They are demanding passage & enforcement to establish criminal punishment for publications such as Fitna, the Motoons and this blog post. Remember, Ban Ki-Moon defined the terms for us.

“U.N. Tackles Religious Intolerance without Limiting Free Speech

Legislation to criminalize the publication of Fitna, the Motoons and this blog post will not limit free speech.  Yeah, right ;=(

Muslim Response to Burn A Qur’an Day: Al-Taqiyya & Kitman

Muslim Response created  an animated cartoon to portray Pastor Terry Jones as an ignorant bigot and Islam as a religion of peace.  With a cartoon, it is easy to set up Jones as a straw man, conceal the evil aspects of Islamic doctrine & paractice and paint Islam in a beutific light.

Thanks and a tip of the hat to Logans Warning for bringing this to my attention.  The video is a well drawn animated cartoon with poor audio quality. Its theme is an encounter between a passing Muslima and  Pastor Jones attempting to burn Qur’ans. It runs about three and a half minutes. As the dialog between Jones and the Muslima continues, his flock picks up Qur’ans and departs one by one, as if the Muslima’s lame excuses for Islam  are converting them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zAPMNt16Us&feature=player_embedded

Lets take it point by point.

  • Islam is of the devil.

Yes, we say he interviews in which the title of his book was mentioned, and we saw the interviewers keeping Jones busy, never letting him get down to details.  Allah was one of 360 idols ensconced in the Kabaa in the seventh century, until Muhammad conquered Mekkah and destroyed the other idols.  Allah is a moon deity, note the crescent moon on the domes of mosques. At various times and places, Allah went by other names, including Sin.

Who demands sacrifice, human blood?  Is it the God you worship or his adversary?  When Muslims slaughter sheep, goats and camels for Eid, what  do they say while slitting throats?  What were the last words heard on the cockpit voice recorder of Flight 93? What did they say when they slit Nick Berg’s throat?  Why is Allahu Akhbar! pronounced on all those occasions?

Does God really desire human blood in  genocidal quantitiy?  Allah does. The Qur’an has a clue for you. I will emphasize key phrases for clarity.

8:67. It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

What does Allah desire? What does Allah require as a prerequisite?  Does God declare perpetual war against Jews & Christians?  Who does?

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

  • The Qur’an refers reverentially to the Bible.
2:41. And believe in what I have sent down (this Qur’ân), confirming that which is with you, [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and buy not with My Verses [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] a small price (i.e. getting a small gain by selling My Verses), and fear Me and Me Alone. (Tafsir At-Tabarî, Vol. I, Page 253).

Ain’t that wonderful, the Qur’an  confirms the Bible. Yeah, right.  We will revisit this subject soon.

  • The Qur’an respects Jesus Christ.  Yeah, right, as Allah’s slave, a genocidal warlord who will exterminate the remaining Jews & Christians just before the end of the world.

Is Jesus the son of God?  Does he divine? Was he crucified? Was he resurrected?  If you remember anything from Sunday school, you will recognize the fact that the Qur’an, while claiming to confirm the Gospels, contradicts them.[Emphasis added.]

4:157. And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) ]:

4:158. But Allâh raised him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever AllPowerful, AllWise.

4:159. And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him [‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being], before his [‘Iesa (Jesus) or a Jew’s or a Christian’s] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he [‘Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.

23:91. No son (or offspring or children) did Allâh beget, nor is there any ilâh (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allâh above all that they attribute to Him!

3:61. Then whoever disputes with you concerning him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] after (all this) knowledge that has come to you, [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus)] being a slave of Allâh, and having no share in Divinity) say: (O Muhammad ) “Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves – then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of Allâh upon those who lie.”

Instead of confirming the Gospels concerning the  papternity, deity, death & resurrection of Jesus, the Qur’an contradicts them, declaring that Allah has no offspring and Jesus is his slave.  Can there be anything worse than this?  Of course there is!

What is the Islamic interest in Jesus? Why to Muslims revere him?  Because of their eschatology.  Its all about what they believe he will do when he returns. In a word: genocide.

I now present for your enlightenment a hadith from Sunan Abu Dawud, ranked third in autenticity among the canonical collections.  I have added emphasis to make the important phrases stand out for you.

Sunan Abu Dawud Book 37, Number 4310:
Narrated AbuHurayrah:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace_be_upon_him). He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.

What will Jesus do?

  • fight the people for the cause of Islam
  • break the cross
    • That phrase is a code for exterminating Christians.
  • kill swine
    • That phrase is a code for exterminating Jews.
  • abolish jiaya
    • Jizya is paid by conquered or intimidated Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians. When they are extirminated, there will be nobody left to pay it.
  • perish all religions except Islam
    • Jesus will wage war on them and exterminate them.

Put those points to a Muslim and he will swear that I am a liar, twisting and distorting the Qur’an and haidth. Unfortunately for that Muslim, there is more clear evidence to prove him wrong.  7:167 says that Allah will continually send someone to torment the Jews.  Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir of that ahyeh holds a secret clue for you.[Emphasis added.]

Eternal Humiliation placed on the Jews
…In the future, the Jews will support the Dajjal (False Messiah); and the Muslims, along with `Isa, son of Mary, will kill the Jews. This will occur just before the end of this world. …

What is the relationship between the Muslim woman and her husband?

2:223. Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), when or how you will, and send (good deeds, or ask Allâh to bestow upon you pious offspring) before you for your ownselves. And fear Allâh, and know that you are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give good tidings to the believers (O Muhammad ).

Tilth litteraly means “field to be plowed”.  And the prohibition on sodomy is not to be found in the Arabic text.  Visit this site and scroll down to the beginning of 2:223, then scroll through it.

Of course the relationship is more complex than that. [Emphasis added.]

4:34. Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allâh has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allâh and to their husbands), and guard in the husband’s absence what Allâh orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband’s property, etc.). As to those women on whose part you see illconduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful), but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allâh is Ever Most High, Most Great.

Men are superior to women, who must obey their husbands.  Husbands are allowed to beat their wives. Lightly was added by the translators, it is not in the Arabic.  You won’t find beat there, either. Try this page, even though it is fine print. The literal translation says scourge.

There is another little detail the Muslima withheld from your  virgin ears. I am not so shy: women are deficient in intelligence & religion![Emphasis added.]

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

Once Allah’s Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o ‘Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, “O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women).” They asked, “Why is it so, O Allah’s Apostle ?” He replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.” The women asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?” He said, “Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?” They replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn’t it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?” The women replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her religion.”

2:282. O you who believe! When you contract a debt for a fixed period, write it down. Let a scribe write it down in justice between you. Let not the scribe refuse to write as Allâh has taught him, so let him write. Let him (the debtor) who incurs the liability dictate, and he must fear Allâh, his Lord, and diminish not anything of what he owes. But if the debtor is of poor understanding, or weak, or is unable himself to dictate, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her. And the witnesses should not refuse when they are called on (for evidence). You should not become weary to write it (your contract), whether it be small or big, for its fixed term, that is more just with Allâh; more solid as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves, save when it is a present trade which you carry out on the spot among yourselves, then there is no sin on you if you do not write it down. But take witnesses whenever you make a commercial contract. Let neither scribe nor witness suffer any harm, but if you do (such harm), it would be wickedness in you. So be afraid of Allâh; and Allâh teaches you. And Allâh is the All-Knower of each and everything.

  • A claim is made that the Qur’an is compatible with the Constitution. Unfortunately it is so mumbled that I can not decipher it word for word.  it begins at 2 2 minutes 18 seconds into the video.

Our Constitution specifies that laws are made by a bicameral legislature, by majority vote in most cases.  The Qur’an specifies that Allah’s word is law and his decisxion is final.

33:36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.

Our Constitution forbids “cruel and unusual” punishments.  The Qur’an specifies amputation & lashing.

5:38. Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allâh. And Allâh is AllPowerful, AllWise.

24:2. The woman and the man guilty of illegal sexual intercourse, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allâh, if you believe in Allâh and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment. (This punishment is for unmarried persons guilty of the above crime but if married persons commit it, the punishment is to stone them to death, according to Allâh’s Law).

Our Constitution guarantees freedom of  religion.  The Qur’an says that Muslims must wage war to give Allah a global monopoly.

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.

  • 5:32 is quoted, asserting that killing one innocent person is the moral equivalent of global genocide. This quote is used to disclaim ‘radicalism’.
5:32. Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allâh by committing the major sins) in the land!.

Did you notice the exceptions: murder & fitna?  The devil is in the details, and Muslims always conceal the vital details.  They will not quote the next verse. Why do they conceal it?   Surah Al-Ma’idah  33 specifies hudud for fitna & “waging war against Allah and his Messener”.

5:33. The recompense of those who wage war against Allâh and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.

Just what is this great sin that subjects one to being killed, crucified, mutilated or exiled??  Once again Ibn Kathir comes to the rescue with a clear definition. [Emphasis added.]

The Punishment of those Who Cause Mischief in the Land

…`Wage war’ mentioned here means, oppose and contradict, and it includes disbelief, blocking roads and spreading fear in the fairways….

Is that clear enough for you? Disbelief is waging war against Allah.  If you don’t believe, you can be crucified or mutilated.  The video ends with an exhortation to read the Qur’an.  That is the one part I agree with.  Read it, and learn what is really in it.   The Qur’an is widely available on the web, you can read it without buying a copy.  The King Fahd Complex presents the Hilali & khan translation, which is 95% accurate. The inaccuracies are intentional. They relate to ‘fight’ in which case the real word is fight/kill, essentially wage war, and  ‘marry’ in which case the true word is a four letter obscenity.

I gave you a link to 2:190, because the translator’s footnote defines jihad with great clarity.  You can selelect  any Surah and ayeh from drop down boxes.  You should, at  minimum, read Surahs 2,3,4,8,9,33,48 & 61.  To fully comprehend those Surahs, you should supplement them with the authentic hadith of  Bukhari. I recommend Books 52, 53 & 59.

Contemporary Forms of Racism: ‘Islamophobia ‘

Mr. Githu Muigai, Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance made a statement on his written report to the UNHRC September 28, 2010.

  • Statement 5 page pdf, scanned image from type written document.
  • Full Report.   A/HRC/15/53  19 page pdf, text based.
    • Citations located:
      • A/HRC/12/38 Previous special report concentrates on legal issues.

      • A/HRC/15/45 Report of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related
intolerance on the implementation of General Assembly resolutions 63/162 and 64/147  07/15/’10

Mr. Muigai apparently hoped to explain how defamation of religions and in particular, “the serious implications of Islamophobia”  impact on the “enjoyment of all human rights by their followers”

“Islamophobia” implies irrational fear and loathing of Islam.  Since the hijackings, shooting incidents and bombings of the latter third of the last century and the more recent attacks in New York City and Washington D.C., fear and loathing of Islam is hardly irrational.  The history of Islam is a  1387 year trail of blood and  tears leaving an estimated 270 million innocent victims dead.

One of the most recent examples was the plan of a small group of individuals in Florida to organize a “Burn a · Koran Day” on ll September 2010. I very much regret this initiative and I welcome  the reactions of a wide variety of political and religious leaders opposing it. This event  demonstrates that actions undertaken by a small group of persons may sometimes  have worldwide repercussions. It is vital therefore to exercise caution in denouncing such acts, so as not to play into the hands of such individuals.

International Burn a Qur’an Day consisted of a web site, a Facebook page, banners, emails and television interviews.  No Qur’ans were burned by Pastor Terry Jones or his congregation.  Bibles and US flags were burned and property damage was done by rioting Muslims.

President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton & General Petraeus did not exercise caution in denouncing the proposed Qur’an burning.  They imputed death & destruction  to Pastor Jones, instead of to its true source: the damnable doctrines of Islam  enshrined in the Qur’an and  preached in every Mosque.

play into the hands

That is exactly what their kvetching does: it gives  those of us with rational objections to the doctrines and practices of Islam to expose them
to public view.

why burn the Qur’an?

propaganda for war

ICCPR

Article 20

  1. Any propaganda for war shall be prohibited by law.

Qur’anic propaganda for war

  • 2:216. Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.
  • 9:38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.
9:39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allah is Able to do all things.

  • 9:111. Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh’s Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur’ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .
  • 9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2).

A search for “strive hard” in the Hilali\Khan translation  turned up 33 results. This sample is typical.

  • 9:41 March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allah. This is better for you, if you but knew.

Surah Al-Anfal 39  commands Muslims to wage war against pagans until only Allah is worshiped on a global scale. It has neither geographic nor chronological limits.  Surah At-Taubah 29 commands Muslims to wage war against Jews, Christians & Zoroastrians until they are subjugated & extorted.  It has neither geographic nor chronological limits.

Surah At-Taubah 111 reveals the relationship between Allah and Muslims. They are slaves, purchased to fight his battles.  In the same chapter, verses 38 & 39 warn Muslims that they go to war or go to Hell.  In Surah As-Saff, verses 9-13 tell Muslims how they can avoid Hell and enter Paradise: by jihad.  If that does not constitute propaganda for war under ICCPR 20.1, what would?

The offensive verses listed above only scratch the surface of the evil of Islamic doctrine & practice.  They are the most important objections to Islam.  If international human rights covenants were enforced, those verses would be sufficient to outlaw Islam.  For that purpose I call your attention to the  International Qur’an Petition.

A growing cadre of lovers of liberty are wising up to Islam. A search for ban Islam turned up 12,400,000 matches. A search for outlaw Islam turned up 605,000 matches.  The subject is turning up in blog posts, forums and comments all over the web.

negative stereotyping

This subject is raised on the fourth page of the statement.

Numerous cases of negative stereotyping of religions, their believers and sacred persons have also been brought to my attention. Among others, I received reports on TV broadcasts and cartoons depicting Jews, Muslims or other believers in a negative  manner; public protests against the Islamization of certain regions or countries; or books that were considered as insulting of the Buddhist religion. While I regret these worldwide reports of stereotyping which do not contribute to constructive dialogue among communities, I nonetheless recognize that peaceful expressions of opinions and ideas should always be tolerated, as long as they do not fall under the specific restrictions enshrined in articles 19 and 20 of the Intemational Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. `

Article 19

  1. Everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference.
  2. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice.
  3. The exercise of the rights provided for in paragraph 2 of this article carries with it special duties and responsibilities. It may therefore be subject to certain restrictions, but these shall only be such as are provided by law and are necessary:
    1. For respect of the rights or reputations of others;
    2. For the protection of national security or of public order (ordre public), or of public health or morals.

Article 20

  1. Any propaganda for war shall be prohibited by law.
  2. Any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law.

The Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance has clearly stated an objection to attempting to  outlaw “negative stereotyping”.  His opinion runs counter to the mainstream.

Facebook Advocacy

An old post about a Muslim boycott of Facebook  demanding the  deletion of the Koran Toilet Paper Roll group still gets hits more than half a year after the boycott.  The group was pulled down, briefly restored and permanently deleted.

.Now two new pages have been created.  Everybody Burn Quran Day rapidly grew to 1974 followers.  It is evident that a fair proportion of those followers are Muslims who joined  so that they could comment on the wall posts.  The discussion threads have also been spammed by Muslims.

Their plan is to commemorate the accursed abomination by burning  Qur’ans on September 11.  I hope that everyone will read it before burning it.  Only by reading the Qur’an can we discover the evil  enshrined between its covers.

Several of their wall posts promote another new page:  I bet this ‘Toilet paper’ can get more fans than ‘The Quran’ which has 737 followers. Their wall is full of insulting, obscene and antisemitic statements and images posted by Muslims.

International Burn A Koran Day, sponsored by the Dove World Church,  has 1740 followers.  Its wall is littered with Islamic graffiti.   This one is certain to increase in controversy as the summer heats up.

Islamophobia appears to be a new page with only 11 followers. Its name would lead one to expect  criticism of Islam’s critics. Instead, the avatar is a photo of violent Islamic protest signs.  The wall posts include a video calling for termination of Islamic immigration  and another about the recent arrest of Christian missionaries in Dearborn.

Against Islamophobia Worldwide (AIW) with 2727 members, appears to be tightly policed; I did not see any anti-Islamic postings on their wall.  When I clicked the Older Posts link at the bottom of the page, I found two posts advocating boycotting Israel. One more click lead to these wall posts. Click them to view full size images.

Evidently my guess about banning dissenters was correct, and they want another group I like to be “erased” .

NO TO THE MOSQUE AT GROUND ZERO has 60,240 supporters. I am one of  them because the planned Mosque is a symbol of Islamic triumph & supremacy.

Come now, and let us reason together is a new group dedicated to rational exchange, without mindless bashing. It has grown to 63 members including two Muslims.
