VICTORY Is Not Defeat

Libby v Fitzgerald

I would pay to watch that!

So was Clinton…BOTH of them. So was a WHOLE herd of others. Just go to boycott liberalism and figure it out yourself. I know! Let’s have us an era of DISTRACTION from the GOOD NEWS coming from the front lines in the Global War On Terror, shall we? That way, the Leftinistra can get away with murder and sedition! GOOD PLAN!!! NOT!!!!!

Get a grip and go here and read what all this REALLY means. Judas Priest!!

What The Libby Conviction Does Not Mean

It seems ridiculous to have to state this but the conviction of Scooter Libby only means one thing.

In the eyes of the jury it means he lied about what he told prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald.

It does not mean:1. That one iota of intelligence was in any way manipulated in the run up to Iraq.2. That Joe Wilson has been vindicated in any way.3. That Valerie Plame was “covert”.4. That the Bush White House had anything to worry about from Wilson/Plame.

Don’t be fooled by all the spinmeisters attempting to turn this into the Watergate of the Bush era. It’s not.

And everyone knows it…

Except Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame…

Libby Should TROUNCE Them All!

This latest in the “Who Leaked Who To What and Why” crap is nothing more (or less) than a typical spoiled brat hoax and distraction technique led by the Hate Bush and Hate America crowd. It really is embarrassing. Politicians and their minions…BAH!!

From Fox News

Former CIA Operative Valerie Plame Wilson ‘Felt Hit in the Gut’ When Identity Was Revealed

WASHINGTON — Valerie Plame Wilson told lawmakers,

“I felt like I had been hit in the gut,” when her husband handed her the newspaper article revealing her identity as a CIA operative in 2003.

“I immediately thought of my family’s safety, the agents, the networks that I had worked with. And everything goes through your mind in an instant,” Wilson testified Friday.

Once her name and identity “were carelessly and recklessly abused” by senior Bush administration officials, Wilson could no longer continue her job.

The DITZ was NOT an operative at the time…what a crock of DNC this is!!

The Plame Truth?

And the Moonbats are liars…

IBD Editorial

Lewis Libby just wasn’t born with the right color hair. Apparently, you have to be a blonde bombshell to get away with having a faulty memory while under oath. Valerie Plame, the ’secret agent’ who does glamorous magazine cover shoots, gave testimony last week to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee that so contradicted the bipartisan report of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee analyzing prewar intelligence regarding Iraq, the P-word just can’t help coming to mind.

Plame: Did she break her oath?

‘I did not recommend him,’ Plame claimed before the House panel last Friday. She was referring to her husband, Joseph Wilson, sent to Niger in early 2002 by the CIA to investigate reports that Saddam Hussein sought uranium there. ‘I did not suggest him,’ she added.

But the Senate bipartisan report of July 2004 indicates otherwise:

It is the “otherwise” the moonbats ignore…

Will Fitzgerald Go After The Real Criminal Now?

LOL!!  I Doubt it.  He would have to go after fellow Leftinistra if he did.  Like the Clintons; the family of turmoil, criminal activities and corruption.

Did Clinton Aide Tutor Valerie Plame?

Two days before outed CIA agent Valerie Plame testified before Congress, she and husband Joseph Wilson had dinner with Hillary Clinton — and an intriguing fourth party.

Joining the three was Sidney Blumenthal, a journalist who served as a senior advisor to President Bill Clinton for 3 1/2 years.

“Do you think they might have worked on talking points for Valerie’s congressional testimony?” wondered journalist Eileen McGann, co-author with Dick Morris of several books about the Clintons.

“Remember: Sidney was advising Hillary about how to spin the Lewinsky story. He’s the one who put out Hillary’s comments that Bill was just helping a troubled young girl.

“Sidney’s been awfully quiet lately, but maybe he’s been helping out the Wilsons — and thereby Mrs. Clinton too.”

McGann pointed to a passage in Hillary’s book “Living History,” about the morning Bill told her about news reports that he’d had an affair with a White House intern: “Bill woke me up early. He sat on the edge of the bed and said, ‘There’s something in today’s paper that you need to know about.’”

McGann compared that to comments Plame made before Congress about how she found out that columnist Robert Novak had revealed her identity as a CIA operative: “I found out very early in the morning when my husband came in and dropped the newspaper on the bed and said, ‘He [Novak] did it.’ And I quickly turned and read the article and I felt like I had been hit in the gut.”

Who Will Bell the Cat?

Now about Islam and terror which is associated with it. Islam has earned infamy not because of the actions of Laden as Tanvir Jafri would have us believe. Jihad is indispensable part of Islam. Islam will cease to exist the moment Muslims refuse to support the doctrine of Jihad. As one born and brought up in a respectable Muslim Qazi family of Assam, I must confess with a heavy heart that the repulsive doctrine of Jihad compelled me to shun Islam.

Al-Jihad or Holy War in Islam is the obligation of all Muslims to fight against unbelievers or non-Muslims. Holy War is an indispensable part of the Sharia and will remain alive and active until the entire world submits to Allah. Islam, in essence, means Holy War. In the Islamic disunion created through the misery of the ‘unbelievers’ in Hell and the bliss of the Muslims in Paradise, the tension of Holy War will continue forever and ever. This unpalatable doctrine of Jihad is one of the many reasons why I rejected Islam in favour of Christianity.

The quote is from the Central Chronicle, over this byline: Omar Luther King .  It is titled:

Personal Thought: Understanding Rushdie and Islam

All of the emphasis was supplied by a Gold Star Mother who emailed the article to me.   The article is too short to cover the entire subject, and is, in some matters too ambiguous.  The excerpt reproduced above tells the reader how one apostate views the core value of Islam.  It is clear to me that the doctrine of Jihad was the major factor in the author’s conversion.

A Google search of the author’s name turned up 38 hits, of which at least two were to the article cited above.  I found one which appeared to be a criticism of Pope Benedict’s statement, but which turned out to be out of context.  It is from the Mail & Guardian, Sept. ’06.

Boldness born of conviction

Pope Benedict has made a bold statement that President George W Bush, a head of state and vouchsafed enemy of terror, would not dare whisper.

No risk, no gain is the undeniable truth. The person — whether religious head or political leader — who has the courage of conviction will ultimately bell the cat. — Omar Luther King, Delhi, India

Let us pray for the coming  such a leader who will do more than just bell the predator.

Independence Day Message From JB Williams

Time for All Good Men

To come to the aid of their Country!

Written by JB Williams

©2007 USA

(Reprinted by permission) (I have added some emphasis to a particular entry)

So, you’ve had Enough War… Have you discussed this with the Jihadists?

Although presidential candidate John Edwards (D) recently declared the War on Terror “nothing more than a Republican campaign bumper sticker”, it appears that Jihadists around the globe have a different take on the matter.

For a change, I can agree with most Democrats in Washington DC on something. I’d like very much for this war to be over, our soldiers to be home safe and sound, for the world to be the peaceful place that we all hope it can some day be and for all the talk of terrorism and war to soon be in our past.

But then my TV screen was once again plastered with familiar images of reality from our dear friends across the pond in the UK. Within hours, our own national security teams were busy ramping up their continued efforts to secure America against similar events. Jihad continues in many parts of the world and America is indeed fortunate to have avoided new attacks since 9/11/01.

My point is this…

No matter how much we would like to call an end to this and every other war, we will not be able to do so until such time as our enemy, those engaged in Jihad all over the free world, is equally interested in peace. So far, they remain uninterested.

Based upon current terror attacks in the UK and well beyond, today does not appear to be a day for peace. Make no mistake, the goal is peace. But how we get there from here is not nearly so obvious for many so sorely inexperienced in such matters.

The question becomes what to do, as we clearly must continue forward in our international allied effort to rid the world of those who wish to advance their political or religious aims via the ongoing killing of innocent civilians? If quitting isn’t an option, that leaves only winning or losing on the table for consideration.

So long as Jihadists remain committed to war with the free world, no matter their motives, we must remain even more committed to derailing that agenda. Are there any doubts about that?

This means that quitting is off the table. I submit to you that losing such a battle for humanity is even worse than quitting. The victor is further emboldened by true victory and the long term cost of losing is easily imagined to be wholly unacceptable, no matter your political leanings.

If we can’t quit because they won’t let us and we can’t lose because the cost of losing is just too high, that leaves only one real option on the table and that option is winning.

In this regard, like it or not, the central front in this war is in Iraq today. So we must begin there. Winning in Iraq is a must. Accepting any form of defeat in Iraq is unacceptable and the reasons are too numerous to list in a column. So how do we win in Iraq?

Only about 2% of our entire population has any military experience at all. Less than that have combat experience and far less than that have war planning experience. I must start by suggestion that those with no experience in the matter learn to keep their opinions to themselves. You have a right to your opinion no matter how ill informed it might be. But ill informed opinions are of no real value to anyone, especially those who must find a way to win in battle.

Empty rhetoric, pro or con, is just that, empty rhetoric. It serves only our enemies, not our agenda for eventual peace or those who must achieve that goal.

Washington politicians, while they need very much for us to believe that they know everything, have proven repeatedly that they do not know everything. Most of them also have no military, combat or war planning experience. Many old warriors have since lost their stomach for war anyway.

Their job irreversibly changed the moment they failed to solve the problem short of military force. Once they agreed to send the military in to clean up the mess, they must allow the military experts to do just that. They too must look outside of themselves for the most informed and well experienced advice on the matter.

This leaves the only people who should ever lead a military mission – military experts and the commanders responsible for the success of the mission. This is no time for second guessing and endless negotiations. That time has passed. One must assume that congress exhausted all other options before voting to send American troops into harms way. God help them if they didn’t. Now it’s up to the military to accomplish the nation’s goal, which is military victory, for those keeping up.

The job of the Commander-in-Chief is not to micromanage military decisions on the battlefield. His job, once troops are deployed, is to do what’s necessary to provide those troops with all necessary support to complete the mission they were given, including the moral support of the people back home. Bush has failed in this regard, with a lot of help from Democrats and the press.

The time for Congress to debate military action was before they voted to authorize military action and indeed, those debates took place. Once they authorize troops into theater, their job is to provide any and all necessary support for the success of that mission and stop rehashing lost debating points that only undermine and demoralize the troops while emboldening the enemy.

Americans have become accustomed to sharing their opinions on everything, without much regard for the potentially counter-productive nature of some of those opinions. This practice must end. We must consider the consequences of our words.

As a general rule, Americans should refrain from public opinions that are anything less than supportive of our troops and their mission. The right time for second guessing will come when second guessing no longer has a direct negative effect on troops in harms way. There’s plenty of time for history to judge the quality of decisions already made.

I must share two personal stories with you in this regard.

I recently had the pleasure and honor of sitting for a few hours with several Marines returning from Iraq. The stories they told only deepened a sense of love, respect and honor that I have carried for these brave young souls all of my life. Act of pure heroism after act were recounted, always about a comrade, not themselves, all of them, nothing short of amazing.

But the most important story told, drawing an amen from each of them and a sigh of disbelief and discontent from me, was their experiences with the mountain of paperwork and questioning that followed every discharge of their firearm.

Each of them told of the countless hours spent filling out paperwork needed to explain, in fact justify, the discharge of every round. The Pentagon needs a paper trail for every round fired in combat, so that it can attempt to defend itself from misguided attacks and charges of soldier misjudgment or misconduct. This is no way to win a war my friends…

In two cases, the Marines were returning from their second tour in Iraq and had seen both horrific and heroic things. But nothing was as disturbing to them as the need to justify staying alive in the theater of combat. Both had been offered enormous cash bonuses to re-up and both declined. Neither wanted to leave Iraq and both want to return. But neither will return to a war they are not allowed to win…

The second story is told by a dear friend who had a very different experience that same week while waiting for a connecting flight in the Denver airport. She was so disturbed by the experience that she took action and then called me from her cell phone while still shaking.

A very young soldier in desert fatigues also returning from Iraq emerged alone from an incoming flight ramp in Denver, where my friend was awaiting her connection. Several others waiting for their connections noticed the young soldier as well and began their cat calls, “baby killer – murderer – scum” – they shouted at the soldier as they circled him in such an effort to intimidate, that armed airport security came to walk him through the gauntlet.

The soldier said nothing, not a word. He kept walking, eyes locked forward. My friend joined the airport guard and walked him past the crowd, took him to the airport tavern and bought him a cold drink, thanking him for his service and apologizing for the gross ignorance he had just experienced.

Once nerves settled, she asked about his experience in Iraq. It was like every report I have ever gotten directly from Iraq, amazing, heartfelt and incredibly moving. It was his first tour and there would be others. He was proud of the job he and his fellow soldiers were doing in Iraq, how attached they had become to so many of the Iraqi people, the children in particular.

And then he said, – “we know why we are there, what we are doing and what must be done and we will do it. But none of us look forward to returning home right now Miss…. We are more welcome in Iraq than in America…”

Maybe I should have cut this column down to that story alone, because what more needs to be said really?

My friend was still crying when she climbed off the plane back home. She asked me, “What has happened to my country?”

I wish I knew….

al-Qaeda’s Plans For Summer “Fun” and al-Qeada’s Car Bomb Guide on the Internet

Cross Posted from Wake up America

ABC reports that al-Qeada has our summer fun activities lined up for us, we just haven’t been told eactly what those plans are yet, its a surprise!!!!

Secret Document: U.S. Fears Terror ‘Spectacular’ Planned

A secret U.S. law enforcement report, prepared for the Department of Homeland Security, warns that al Qaeda is planning a terror “spectacular” this summer, according to a senior official with access to the document.

“This is reminiscent of the warnings and intelligence we were getting in the summer of 2001,” the official told

Nice. Just dandy. This is getting ridiculous.

Why do I say that?

Well, lets see, we had the failed attempts to blow up cars in London, the ramming into the Glasgow airport with the spectacular fireshow added in.

We see the UK has 7 people under arrest, yes, Islamic extremists,in connection with the above aforementioned terror plot and they are hunting for more and Yemen had a suicide bomber kill 7 or 8 people.

We also see that there are warnings to London that more bombings are on the way.

Could it be the failed attempts in the UK had anything to do with this? (Hat tip to The American Israeli Patriot)

Al-Qaeda’s car bomb guide

London terror analysis: Online manual on car bombs instructs terrorists ‘not to park illegally’

The three botched terror attacks launched in Britain in the past 72 hours bear all the hallmarks of first-time British-born jihadis attempting to emulate al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Multiple car bombs designed to slaughter hundreds of civilians and strikes against critical infrastructure are daily events in Baghdad, and al-Qaeda in Iraq has decided to put its experience in mass murder on the internet for the benefit of its members around the world, in the form of an online training course on bomb attacks.

The bombing manual, available in Arabic on a jihadi website, contains a number of key pieces of advice for car bombers. It instructs terrorists not to park their vehicles illegally, and advises the car bomber to leave the scene quietly, if he plans to detonate the vehicle from a distance, in what al-Qaeda terms “non-martyrdom operations.”

The manual details precise locations inside the vehicle where explosives should be placed, and recommends various targerts such as “cinemas” and “stadiums.”

Other forms of explosives, the guide says, should be aimed at “groupings demonstrations, celebrations or festivals.”

The guide calls on terrorists to “monitor and identify the route of the enemy, how they leave a cinema or a stadium at the end of a game,” and also gives instructions on how to carry out suicide car bombings.

“Drive the car on the road passing the crowd. If a car passes near these places, it could draw the attention of the enemy, and the car could be inspected,” the guide said. It went on to explain in detail how suicide car bombers can fool security guards, and suggests a correct speed to drive a vehicle packed with explosives into a target.

Go read the rest, it is enlightening.

Jules Crittenden points out that many successful attacks were often precceeded by failed attempts, they learn from their mistakes, too bad we don’t, as witnessed by Brainless at Breakfast.

A series of bungled and seemingly inept attacks — to include the Fort Dix and JFK Int’l plots along with the failed British fire-bomb attempts — doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of not screwing it up, or that the kinds of things we’ve seen can’t be highly effective, or that they are even the main events. Successful attacks are often preceded by failures. The growing trend of what appear to be al-Qaeda-inspired local amateurs itself represents a disturbing evolution. Those British fire bombs are now being viewed as inefficent weapons, ineffectively deployed. But 9/11, the major catastrophe of our time, was carried out with inefficient weapons that could have proven ineffective under any number of alternative scenarios.

All of which gets us back to the old truth we all know now, even if we don’t really think it will ever apply to us. London, Glasgow, JFK and Dix are just reminders. Glasgow and the pine barrens of New Jersey? Fort Dix is in the middle of nowhere. It can happen anywhere, at any time. Which is why you need to be alert, and need to have already thought about what you’re going to do. Whether you can or even get a chance to is what you find out later.

Good suggestion Jules and in that same vein, now would be the time to remind people of the 7 signs of terrorist activity.

There is a file showing the 7 signs to watch for terror activity, it is a word file and everyone should read it.

1. Surveillance

If there is a specific target that terrorists have chosen, that target area will be most likely be observed during the planning phase of the operation. They do this in order to determine the strengths, weaknesses, and number of personnel that may respond to an incident. Routes to and from the target are usually established during the surveillance phase. Therefore, it is important to take note of such things as someone recording or monitoring activities, drawing diagrams or annotating on maps, the use of vision-enhancing devices, having in one’s possession floor plans or blue prints of places such as high-tech firms, financial institutions, or Government / military facilities. Any of these surveillance-type acts MAY be an indicator that something just is not right. Nothing is too menial and should not be discarded as such.

2. Elicitation

The second sign or signal is elicitation. What this means is anyone attempting to gain information about a place, person, or operation. An example is someone attempting to gain knowledge about a critical infrastructure like a power plant, water reservoir, or a maritime port. Terrorists may attempt to research bridge and tunnel usage, make unusual inquiries concerning shipments, or inquire as to how a military base operates. They may also attempt to place “key” people in sensitive work locations.

3. Tests of Security

Tests of Security are another area in which terrorists would attempt to gather data. This is usually conducted by driving by the target, moving into sensitive areas and observing security or law enforcement response. They would be interested in the time in which it takes to respond to an incident or the routes taken to a specific location. They may also try to penetrate physical security barriers or procedures in order to assess strengths and Weaknesses. They often gain legitimate employment at key locations in order to monitor day-to-day activities. In any event, they may try to gain this knowledge in order to make their mission or scheme more effective.

4. Acquiring Supplies

Another area to be cognizant of is anyone acquiring supplies. It may be a case where someone is purchasing or stealing explosives, weapons, or ammunition. It could also be someone storing harmful chemicals or chemical equipment. Terrorists would also find it useful to have in their possession law enforcement equipment and identification, military uniforms and decals, as well as flight passes, badges or even flight manuals. If they can’t find the opportunity to steal these types of things, they may try to photocopy ID’s, attempt to make passports or other forms of identification by counterfeiting. Possessing any of these would make it easier for one to gain entrance into secured or usually prohibited areas.

5. Suspicious People Who Don’t Belong

A fifth pre-incident indicator is observing suspicious people who just “don’t belong.” This does not mean we should profile individuals but what it does mean is that we should profile behaviors. This includes suspicious border crossings and stowaways aboard a ship or people jumping ship in a port. It may mean having someone in a workplace, building, neighborhood, or business establishment that does not fit in because of their demeanor, their language usage or unusual questions they are asking. You, as an officer, may respond to a complaint that may appear to be a routine investigation but results in something much bigger in scope.

6. Dry Runs

Another sign to watch for is “dry runs.” Before execution of the final operation or plan, a practice session will be run to work out the flaws and unanticipated problems. A dry run may very well be the heart of a planning stage of a terrorist act. If you find someone monitoring a police radio frequency and recording emergency response times, you may very well be observing a “dry run.” Another element of this activity could include mapping out routes and determining the timing of traffic lights and flow. It is during this stage that it is actually our best chance to intercept and stop an attack. Multiple dry runs are normally conducted at or near the target area.

7. Deploying Assets / Getting Into Position

The seventh and final sign or signal to look for is someone deploying assets or getting into position. This is a person’s last chance to alert authorities before the terrorist act occurs.

It is also important to remember that pre-incident indicators may come months or even years apart. Therefore, it is extremely important to document every fragment of information, no matter how insignificant it may appear, and forward this information.

The aforementioned suspicious activities should be immediately reported to the MTA Police Department, Interagency Counterterrorism Task Force at (646) 252-1050.

Declaration of Independence

“In its main features the Declaration of Independence is a spiritual document. It is a declaration not of material but spiritual conceptions. Equality, liberty, popular sovereignty, the rights of man—these are not elements which we can see and touch. They are ideals. They have their source and their roots in religious convictions. They belong to the unseen world. Unless the faith of the American people in these religious convictions is to endure, the principles of our Declaration will perish. We cannot continue to enjoy the result if we neglect and abandon the cause. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just power from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth and their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction cannot lay claim to progress.” —Calvin Coolidge

From The Patriot Post

The Liberty Bell

“Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measure in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us. We are in the very midst of a revolution the most complete, unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of nations.” —John Adams

“Somewhere in our growing up we began to be aware of the meaning of days and with that awareness came the birth of patriotism. July Fourth is the birthday of our nation. I believed as a boy, and believe even more today, that it is the birthday of the greatest nation on earth… In recent years, however, I’ve come to think of that day as more than just the birthday of a nation. It also commemorates the only true philosophical revolution in all history. Oh, there have been revolutions before and since ours. But those revolutions simply exchanged one set of rules for another. Ours was a revolution that changed the very concept of government. Let the Fourth of July always be a reminder that here in this land, for the first time, it was decided that man is born with certain God-given rights; that government is only a convenience created and managed by the people, with no powers of its own except those voluntarily granted to it by the people. We sometimes forget that great truth, and we never should. Happy Fourth of July.” —Ronald Reagan
