Who wants to deceive people?

On June 11, I posted an article “Does Islam Encourage Terrorism?” Only 5 days later Mr. Ben commented me that he wrote an issue and disprove some wrong thing in my blog. Now I want to emphasize my previous idea and say something completely wrong in his issue:

While I am sorely tempted, I will decline the perverse assumption and assume that the quoted verbiage is an artifact of the language barrior. On the face of it, Pure Islam must intend to claim that there is a factual error in Islam Sanctifies & Mandates Terrorism.

At first let me to bring the clear meaning of ro’b (رعب) that Mr. Ben trying to attach terror to it. The first and best meaning of it in Arabic is frighten as a verb and fear as a noun. How Mr. Ben translated this such as terror though it doesn’t mean terror even as a second or third meaning. It is considered he is totally ignorant of Arabic or he tries to deceive us?! And you know one of the meanings of terror in English is overawe, horrendous, or an extreme fear that are not the first meaning. So when you want to translate a word from a language to another one you should at first attend to the first meaning.

Pure Islam falsely assumes that I translated an Arabic word into English. Since I can not read even a single Arabic character, much less a word, I translated nothing. Instead, I relied upon experts. I quoted a translation by Hilali & Khan, two Saudis with Arabic fluency. I linked the Qur’an quotes to a page which displays nine different translations in parallel. Examine Al-Anfal 12. I have deleted iirrelevant text for clarity.

Pickthall	. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve.
Yusuf Ali	I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers:
Hilali-Khan	. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved,
Shakir	I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve.
Khalifa	. I will throw terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved.
Arberry	I shall cast into the unbelievers’ hearts terror;
Palmer	I will cast dread into the hearts of those who misbelieve,-
Rodwell	I will cast a dread into the hearts of the infidels.”
Sale	I will cast a dread into the hearts of the unbelievers.

One translator selected fear, three selected dread and five selected terror. Among the tafsirs we find:

• Ibn Kathir: terror
• al-Jalalayn: terror
• Ibn Abbas: fear

Mufti Mohammad Taqi Uthmani, retired Pakistani Supreme Court Justice, uses awe in 8:12 and in 33:26, substituting fear in 59:2.

Webster on line provides definitions:

  • 4: violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands <insurrection and revolutionary terror>

Second, all of these verses that he has brought are about disbelievers who attacked to prophets and his followers. Allah helped Muslims to protect his religion. He put fear in kuffar’s heart, so they are afraid of Muslims. It is not related to terror at all. It is just a kindness from God to his lovers. Mr. Ben! If you are upset of God’s help, you can say to him! Why you change the fact? Why you change the meaning of words?!! Mr. Ben! Look at the history. Who is the real terrorist?

Pure Islam wants us to assume that all of Muhammad’s battles were defensive, that Kuffar attacked Islam. The Qur’an contains three imperatives to Jihad which do not mention defense.

1. 8:39 And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.
2. 9:29 Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
3. 9:73 O Prophet (Muhammad )! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, – and worst indeed is that destination.

Sharia reflects this fatal fact. Examine the definition of Jihad given by Reliance of the Traveler and how it is applied. [Links & emphasis added.]

Chapter O-9.0: Jihad
(O: Jihad means to war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad. As for the greater jihad, it is spiritual warfare against the lower self (nafs), which is why the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said as he was returning from jihad.
“We have returned from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad.”
The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus (def: b-7) is such Koranic verses as:
1- “Fighting is prescribed for you” (Koran 2:216);
2- “Slay them wherever you find them” (Koran 4:89);
3- “Fight the idolators utterly” (Koran 9:36);
and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:
“I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah”;
and the hadith reported by Muslim,[Similar from Bukhari]
“To go forth in the morning or evening to fight in the path of Allah is better than the whole world and everything in it.”Details concerning jihad are found in the accounts of the military expeditions of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), including his own martial forays and those on which he dispatched others. The former consist of the ones he personally attended, some twenty-seven (others say twenty-nine) of them. He fought in eight of them, and killed only one person with his noble hand, Ubayy ibn Khalaf, at the battle of Uhud. On the latter expeditions he sent others to fight, himself remaining at Medina, and these were forty-seven in number.)

O-9.8: The Objectives of Jihad
The caliph (o-25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o-11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled” (Koran 9.29),…

Near the end of O.9.1, we find this wonderful gem:

The first is when they are in their own countries, in which case jihad (def: o9.8) is a communal obligation, and this is what our author is speaking of when he says, “Jihad is a communal obligation,” meaning upon the Muslims each year.

When Kuffar are at home, Jihad must be mounted against them in every year. This is confirmed by al-Shafi’i & al-Ghazali.

“The least that the imam must do is that he allow no year to pass without having organised a military expedition by himself, or by his raiding parties, according to the Muslims’ interest, so that the jihad will only be stopped in a year for a (reasonable) excuse.”

one must go on jihad (i.e., warlike razzias or raids) at least once a year

“Fear is not related to terror” ? That ain’t what the dictionary says, giving intense fear as one definition of terror.

Just in the Second World War 50 millions of innocent people were killed. Who killed them? Muslims?

Who organized and headed up the Waffen SS Hanzar Division 13? You never heard of Hajj Amin Al-Husseini?? You didn’t know there were Muslims in Croatia and that many of them volunteered to fight for the Reich?

There was no Muslim country in that war. Why you play with words?

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem went to Germany and allied himself with Hitler. He wanted Hitler to exterminate the Levantine Jews. I am not the one playing word games; you project your own tactic onto me.

See the reality! How many wars were begun during in 20^th century by non-Muslims? Who starts world war first and second?

Which side did the Ottoman Empire fight on in WW I ? Who invaded and conquered Syria, Egypt, Persia, Yemen, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Turkey and India long before WW I???

Who attacked to Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Bosnia, Lebanon, and Palestine? Muslims?!

In Vietnam we were staving off expansion of the Communist Empire. Slick Willy fought on the Muslim side in Kosovo & Bosnia against the Serbian defenders. Lebanon/’Palestine‘ were conquered & occupied by Caliph Umar in 638. Iraq & Afghanistan were invaded & occupied by other Caliphs, which is why they are Muslim today.

Shrub invaded Afghanistan & Iraq, which he should have nuked, because they were state sponsors of terrorism, a status they would not have had if they had not been conquered by the Caliphs and forcibly converted to Islam.

Of course you can not deny these disgraces that made by America, Israel and other anti-Muslims. This kind of misinterpretation that Mr. Ben has done it, can just called deceiving.

Allah’s demonic commands require no interpretation; they are contained in clear verses which mean what they say. Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir of 3:7 makes this fact abundantly clear.

Allah states that in the Qur’an, there are Ayat that are Muhkamat, entirely clear and plain, and these are the foundations of the Book which are plain for everyone. And there are Ayat in the Qur’an that are Mutashabihat not entirely clear for many, or some people. So those who refer to the Muhkam Ayat to understand the Mutashabih Ayat, will have acquired the correct guidance, and vice versa. This is why Allah said, (They are the foundations of the Book), meaning, they are the basis of the Qur’an, and should be referred to for clarification, when warranted, …The Muhkamat are the Ayat that explain the abrogating rulings, the allowed, prohibited, laws, limits, obligations and rulings that should be believed in and implemented.

In my previous response, I posted quotations from three tafsirs, linked to source, all of which confirmed the obvious meaning of the clear verses in which Allah commands Muslims to engage in Jihad, genocide & terror. I also posted confirming ahadith which ratify the offending ayat.

Mr. Ben! Your article is deceiving some innocent people who are searching the right way. If a person knows a little Arabic and the basic order of Islam, surely, he will refuse your speech. But you should understand that God will show his path to seekers. Maybe you can just pervert them a little. It is Islam which deceives. Muhammad said “War is deceit“. Ibn Kathir quotes a relevant hadith.

For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’ said, “We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.” Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, “The Tuqyah is allowed until the Day of Resurrection.”

‘In true Islam, terror does not exist” Thus Pure Islam practiced al-taqeyya, engaging in deception to guard and forward the cause of Islam. But terror is commanded in the Qur’an, confirmed in the Hadith and confirmed in the tafsirs, all of which I documented in Islam Sanctifies & Mandates Terrorism.

Pure Islam is unable to refute the facts, an unenviable position indeed.
